In The Mouth Of Madness - John Carpenter
(Full Score)

Sorry I've been gone for so long. A new job and a busier life have kept me from my precious blog. I'll try to get some updates on here in some kind of resonable time in the future. Today I have the John Carpenter score to his film "In The Mouth Of Madness". I haven't seen this flick in some time. From what I recall it wasn't too bad. I really enjoyed the first half, but the second half sort of fell apart to me.

The overall plot is this insurance investigator character played by Sam Neil trying to track down a missing author by the name of Sutter Kane. What Sam Neil finds is that Sutter Kane's horror stories have created a world of their own in which he finds himself trapped in a town called Hobbs End.

I can't say much about the score either, because I've yet to listen to it, but I have to imagine there are some of you out there who are big fans and have been looking for this one. Enjoy!

"I think, therefore you are."

Thanks, I've been looking for this for a long time!

This movie is so underrated -- people just didn't get it. It's a bad Stephen King/ Dean Koontz/ Clive Barker horror novel, filmed -- pure and simple.

Thanks again!

Thanks, that is a score I spent some time looking for a while ago and never found, actually.

I agree on how underrated the movie is, though my like of the film comes from all the Lovecraft homages and tributes, even down to the movie's title. Gotta love Lovecraft.
