Nite Jewel - "One Second Of Love" Video

Normally I don't post anything here that doesn't tie into pop culture movies/tv/comics etc. The only real reason I don't do that is so the blog doesn't go off the rails and not have any type of theme/direction. However, I wanted to share some music I discovered while traveling down the rabbit hole of Youtube and recommended videos based on videos I was searching for. After hearing artist Nite Jewel on the chorus of a song I really dug from last year I discovered she has quite a bit of music out there I"ve never heard. I thought let me check out a solo track by her and see what I think. Well, I have to say I was more than pleasantly surprised. The video I watched was for the song "One Second of Love". It grabbed me musically because it really has this 80s synth vibe going on, which I absolutely love. Her vocals are equally fantastic over the track. Being that this is a video, and as often is the case with me personally, sometimes a video can really enhance a song. This video did just that. I wasn't expecting the tone, and imagery that was shown here and it's pretty damn cool.

It appears to be a bachelorette party, and right off the bat the girl of honor steps out of the room. The rest of the girls have money in hand and seem to be waiting for a male stripper to show up. A trio of girls show up with a guy dressed in some kind of strange goat, cultish looking robes and they dance to the song and sing it. The girls watch, not really sure what to make of it all. Some of the girls start vomiting up pearls, octopus legs and black goo. Check it out my friends! I had to get this track and quickly put it on heavy rotation!

If you are curious what original song I was listening to with Nite Jewel, I have that below for you. She appeared with Bay Area rappers Droop-E and J-Stalin on the track "'N The Traffic".
