Admittedly I'm not a huge fan of Disney and their movies, but I have to admit the short Silly Symphony films they made are actually kind of fun, especially for my kids. In the age of CGI animation that you see across the board, Disney included, these old flims have a great nostalgia and life to them. CGI feels devoid of that. It's kind of like looking at an old classic book VS say a Barbie book from 2012.
Since it's getting into the "Holidays" soon I thought I'd share this old short film called "The Night Before Christmas". Enjoy!
In a weird, but maybe not surprising thing I noticed was this obviously racist bit of this "blackface" visual. A small baby gets soot on his face and this is the look they give him, apparently for laughs.
