The Blog's New Direction?

Hello all, I've been away for a bit and was preparing to come back to soundtrack blogging again. Due to some personal changes in my life, a new movie review site of mine, free time, and the crack down on the Megaupload file sharing site things have changed in how I want to move forward with the blog. Fellow friend and soundtrack blogger Long Island Ripper at the great "Inferno Music Crypt" has decided to lay low and stop posting soundtracks for the time being as are others in the OOP soundtrack community. Now the thing that I do want to make clear here is that he and I along with a section of soundtrack bloggers focused on the OOP (out-of-print) or never released soundtracks and songs that we had to hunt down and share amongst ourselves. I never would post anything that was commercially available through regular channels, as I want those artists and labels to get what they deserver for their hard work.

However, the powers that be I don't think will look at things in such a grey way, it will most likely be more black and white and I don't want to bring any trouble upon myself. So I'm not going to post any soundtracks for a bit and just hang back regarding those types of posts. I'm thinking perhaps still talk soundtracks, but also just expand the blog into a more jack of all trades when it comes to movies and music, toys, and such, but more in a discussion format and not making songs available this time. I can then branch out into other topics and make a bridge of sorts to my recently launched movie review site SideshowCinema.com.

I'm sure there will be many of you that will be sad to hear this news, but I do hope you stick around and see how it goes, and if it doesn't work for you oh well. Perhaps this is just the natural progression of things from my blog to the main site, which was my intention all along, but the blog did grow into something that connected with a lot of film buffs and music lovers.

Sideshow Cinema Movie Reviews Website is LIVE

Hello all faithful readers and internet ghouls looking to satisfy your out-of-print soundtrack desires I have some news for you all. Today I launched my movie review website for movies my wife and I enjoy and in some cases are so bad they're bad that they demand a review. If it wasn't obvious by now I'm way into movies and so a site where I can review those movies I love was something I've wanted to do for some time. So far we have a decent number of reviews up, but will continue to add more content as time goes on. I will also use the blog to make updates to new/choice reviews.

SIDESHOW CINEMA: Movie Review Website

Originally this blog was started with the intent of being a precursor to a movie review site and 5 yrs later that precursor has become it's own little monster all grown up and feeding soundtrack fiends. Now I have more than the original seven visitors I was seeing back in the day. I hope that you can check out the site. If you like what you see, I would be super grateful to see you include a link to it on your blogs and websites, or just a bookmark in your browser.

If by chance you have linked to this blog and want to link to the review site you could say "Sideshow Cinema: Soundtrack Blog" and "Sideshow Cinema" to differentiate the links. Thanks!!
