I just had a chance to watch the "Asia Trailer" for the upcoming Godzilla from Legendary. This has some of the same things we've seen in the previous teasers/trailers, but shows a bit more and at least, to me, a bit more about the story. One really fantastic thing this shows is Godzilla about to square off against a new, seemingly very destructive monster. This is something that was hinted at before, but I was really hoping we'd get to see Godzilla battling another monster. The reason this is important to me as a fan is that when I think about Godzilla I think about him fighting with all sorts of fantastical creatures. The fights stand out more to me than the stories. I was a bit worried this would maybe go down the road of Godzilla 1985 or Godzilla 1998 where his only adversary was man, which to me was rather boring. I have high hopes for this flick.

Twisted Twins - "Fight Like a Girl" Blood Drive 2014 Segment
Check out the brand new "Fight Like a Girl" Blood Drive 2014 segment brought to you by the Twisted Twins (Jen and Sylvia Soska). If you are a fan of their previous work you should definitely enjoy this. It's what seems to be a demonic Jen and Sylvia beating the hell out of each other in a Fight Club / Lionheart type of underground fighting match. There is a wide array of supporters cheering on the fighters and they battle. Being that it's a Blood Drive PSA, you won't be disappointed by lack of blood here. Check out the video below!

He-Man Official - Youtube Channel
Boys and ghouls, if you are a fan of the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe animated show from Filmation in the early 80s, then I have the Youtube channel for you to subscribe to. I came across the "He-Man Official" channel few months back and it has some really fantastic content that, channel admin, James Eatock is putting out there for fans of the show. He's clearly a guy that is a huge fan and the content reflects that. He has trivia, break down of storyboards in comparison to the show, episode commentary and more. Now there is one thing that I want to point out on this channel that is in that "more" category and it's absolutely fantastic! James Eatock along with Dusan M. have "painstakingly" gone through the music/sfx tracks from the original episodes and pieced together the original cues heard in the show.
This is something fans of the show have been clamoring for, for the last 30 years. The closest any of the fans have had was an official soundtrack released in Argentina in the 80s. This had some nice selections from the show, but was missing a large majority of music including fan favorite cues from many of the action sequenses. Well now by visiting this channel you can hear those in great audio quality. If you aren't sold on it, check out the video below for a track titled "Mystic Grounds". This is my personal all-time-favorite bit of music heard in the show. It just captures the magic, mystery, spookiness and adventure of the show.

Orange is the New Black - Season 2 Trailer
I just saw that Netflix released the trailer for season 2 of their original show "Orange is the New Black". I'm looking forward to this one. I had heard good things about season 1 and finally had a chance to watch them and was presently surprised. I had low expectations for it, but it's quite well done and really something I got into. Looks like this will be showing up on June 6, 2014.

Buffalo Bill & The Creeper
Just the other day I was listening to Silence of the Lambs. What I mean by that is I have mp3 audio of some favorite films so that I can listen to them while I work or I'm out-and-about. If you know a movie pretty cold then it's a great way to enjoy a flick while doing something other than sitting in front of a screen. I'm getting away from the point however. I was listening to the film and about 48 minutes into the movie, just after the scene when Clarice's scientific friends identify the "death's head moth", there is a scene where the camera moves through Buffalo Bill's lair. The camera moves through various rooms and you can hear screaming and music playing and then there is a reveal of Buffalo Bill sitting nude on a stool at a work bench. You can hear a sewing machine going and he looks focused on working on something. Listening to that scene I had an epiphany about a scene in the 2001 film Jeepers Creepers.
At the end of that film... spoilers here folks. I'm not sure I really need to say that for a 13yr old movie, but in the event you haven't seen it I'm going to give away the ending here. The Creeper at the end of the film actually claims one of the main characters of the film, Darry, and flies off with him. Given what the film as showed to us up to that point we know that the Creeper wants a body part from Darry and that he'll most likely be killed by the creature. The final scene of the movie takes us to the Creeper's latest lair... see where I'm going with this now. The camera moves through the rooms, with creepy sound effects and music playing. Just like in Silence of the Lambs there is the reveal of villain, the Creeper, not in his human clothes disguise, but nude at a workbench working just like Buffalo Bill. I've never heard this scene talked about or anyone ever mention the similarity to Lambs. I think this is a direct homage to that film and I think done very well. It only took me 13 years to notice it. Have any of you noticed this before?
